Idaho Panhandle - Coeur d'Alene
The Coeur d'Alene area is part of the Idaho Panhandle National
Forest. Located in the East-central part of the Columbia Plateau between the Cascade and Bitteroot Mountains,
the Idaho Panhandle is one of the most spectacular and scenic areas in the country. Deep blue lakes, swift raging rivers,
quiet streams and high rugged mountains invite hikers, river rafters, canoeists, and nature enthusiasts of
all kinds. |

American Land & Leisure runs eight different facilities
at Coeur d'Alene.
Beauty Creek Campground is located on Lake Coeur d'Alene, about 9 miles from the city of Coeur
d'Alene. Campers come to swim, boat, fish and hike. There are 15 camp sites and one group site. Full
hookups are available. Hours are 30 hours per week per couple. The campground is open from mid-May to
the end of September. |

Bell Bay Campground is located on Lake Coeur d'Alene
about 30 miles from the city of Coeur d'Alene. Campers come out to fish and swim in the lake, or to hike
one of the beautiful trails. Wildlife is diverse. There are 26 camp sites. Hours are 20 hours per week per
couple during the regular season and 25 hours per week per couple during the busy season. Full hookups are
available. The campground is open from the end of May to the beginning of September.

Big Hank Campground is located in the midst of tall lodgepole pines, close to the Spokane River.
The closest city is Kellogg, about 40 miles away. Campers come to shore fish or hike. Water and sewer
hookups are available. Hours are 25 hours per week per couple during the regular season, and 30 hours per
week per couple during the peak season. The camping season runs from the end of May to early September.
Bumblebee Campground is located in thick forest near
the north fork of the Coeur d'Alene River, about 9 miles from Kingston, the nearest town. Campers come
to shore fish the river, and hunt the large game that live in the area. There are 25 campsites. Water
hookups are available, and a blue boy is available for sewer. Hours are 25 hours per week per couple
during the regular season, and 30 hours per week per couple during the peak season. The camping
season runs from the end of May to early September.
Devils Elbow Campground is located in the lodgepole
pine about 40 miles outside of Kingston on the north fork of the Coeur d'Alene river. Campers come to
fish or float on the river. There are 20 camp sites and 1 group site. Water and sewer hookups are
available. Hours are 20 hours per week per couple. The camping season runs from the end of May to early
September. |

Honeysuckle Campground is located in a large grassy
area with lodgepole pines along the Little North Fork Coeur d'Alene River. The closest town is Coeur d'Alene,
about 20 miles away. There are 7 camp sites, and things get busiest during hunting season. Big game and
small wildlife are abundant. Water hookups are available, and there is a blue boy for sewer. Hours are
15 hours per week per couple. The camping season runs from the end of May to early September.
The Area Managers for Coeur d'Alene are at Kit Price Campground
. Kit Price is a park like area with beautiful views of the Coeur d'Alene River, about 30 miles outside
of Kellogg. Campers come there to fish and float on the river. Full hookups are available. The camping
season runs from the end of May to early September. |

Mokins Bay is located in a lodgepole pine forest one mile from Dismal Lake. Campers come to fish and hike.
Deer, elk, and bear are common. Coeur d'Alene, the closest town, is about 20 miles away. Full hookups are
available. The season runs from the end of May to early September. |
