Wasatch-Cache - Evanston / Mountain View
Summer or winter, if you're looking for a beautiful place to get
away from the city and play in Utah, the Wasatch-Cache National Forest is it. Comprised of beautiful canyons,
soaring peaks, pristine hidden lakes, rivers and streams, the views will take your breath away. The Wasatch-Cache
is also home to some of the world's premier ski areas. Fishermen enjoy the trout stocked rivers and streams.
Campers come here from across the country to hike, mountain bike, ride horses, boat, swim, ski, sled, and enjoy
the natural beauty of these rugged mountains. |

Stillwater Campground is located 33 miles south of Evanston, WY at an altitude of 8500 feet. Set
among lodgepole pine and aspen where the Stillwater and Hayden Rivers come together, this campground has
21 sites, 4 group sites, and 2 picnic sites. Campers come here to fish in the rivers and hike the
many local trails. The hosts at Stillwater also care for two other campgrounds in the area. Sulpher
Campgound is 7 miles away and has 21 single sites and a group picnic site. Hayden Campground
is 3 miles away and has 9 single sites. Water and sewer hookups are available to the hosts. The area
managers for the Evanston area live at Stillwater and cares for these campgrounds. It is a
salaried position. These facilities are open from late May to early September. |

Christmas Meadows Campground is located about 36 miles
from Evanston at an altitude of 8800 feet. Set among lodgepole pine and aspen on the Stillwater River, this
campground has 11 single sites. Campers come here to fly fish and kayak, as well as just hike or relax.
Mountain bike and 4 wheeler races happen here each year. The hosts at this location also care for three
other small campgrounds within 5 miles and Wolverine Trailhead. Beaver View Campground has 18
sites and 1 group site. Bear River Campground has 4 sites. East Fork Campground has 8 sites.
Mileage is provided. Water and sewer hookups are available to hosts. Hours are 30 hours per week per
couple during the regular season and 35 hours per week per couple during the peak season. The campground is
open from the end of May to the beginning of September. |

Bridger Lake Campground
is located about 23 miles from Mountain View, WY at an elevation of 9300
feet. Set among aspen and ponderosa pine on Bridger Lake, this
campground has 32 sites and a boat ramp. Campers come here to fish,
boat, hike, and mountain bike. Water and sewer hookups are
provided. Hours are 20 hours per week per couple during the regular season and 25 hours
per week per couple during the peak season. The campground is open from late May to early September. |

Stateline Campground is located about 21 miles from Mountain View at an altitude of 9200 feet.
It has 41 single sites. Water and sewer hookups are provided. Hours will be about 35 hours per week
per couple during the regular season and 45 hours per week per couple during the peak season. The hosts
for this campground also take care of Deadhorse Trailhead. The campgrounds are open from the end of May to
the beginning of September. |

Marsh Lake Campground is located about 24 miles from
Mountain View at an altitude of 9400 feet. Set among lodgepole pine and aspen on Marsh Lake, this
campground has 38 single sites. Campers come here to fish for trout, hike, and mountain bike.
The hosts at this campground also care for China Meadows Campground and China Meadows Trailhead.
China Meadows campground has 9 single sites and the trailhead has 14.
The company provides a four wheeler for transportation between Stateline
and China Meadows. Water
and sewer hookups are provided. Hours are 40 hours per week per couple during the regular season and
45 hours per week per couple during the peak season. The campground is open from the end of May to the
beginning of September.

Hoop Lake Campground is located about 45 miles from
Mt. View at an elevation of 9500 feet. Set among aspen and lodgepole pine on Hoop Lake, this campground
has 44 single sites and 7 equestrian sites at a trailhead. Campers come here to hike, ride horses, use off
road vehicle trails, fish, swim, hunt in the fall, and enjoy the wildflowers and diverse wildlife. This
area is a favorite with nature lovers, and has trails that go up into the mountains.
Water and sewer hookups are provided. Hours are 20 hours per week per couple during the regular season and
30 hours per week per couple during the peak season. The campground is open from the beginning of June to
the beginning of September, depending on snowfall.
Meeks Cabin is located 53 miles from Evanston at an
altitude of 8700 feet. Set among aspen and lodgepole pine on Meeks Cabin Reservoir, this campground has
24 sites. Campers here for the beautiful scenery and the fishing. The hosts for this location also care
for Little Lyman Campground. A four wheeler is provided to travel to Lyman, 7 miles away.
Lyman is a wilderness campground with 9 single sites and good fishing. Water and sewer hookups are available
to hosts. Hours are 20 hours per week per couple during the regular season and 30 hours per week per couple
during the peak season. This campground is open from late May to early September, depending on snowfall.
