Stanislaus - Groveland
Located along the Northeastern edge of Yosemite National Park,
the Stanislaus is one of the oldest national forests. Founded in 1897, this beautiful wilderness area is
home to more than 300 species of animals, has more than 800 miles of fishable rivers and streams, and offers
more hiking, mountain biking, and off road vehicle trails than you could travel in a lifetime. Whether it's
boating, swimming, hiking, snowmobiling, river rafting, fishing, or camping, the Stanislaus has it all.

American Land & Leisure currently runs four different
facilities in the Groveland Area.
Dimond "O" Campground is located 25 miles from Groveland at an elevation of 4400 feet. Set among
cedar and pine on the Toulumne River, this campground has 38 sites. Campers come here to hike, fish, hunt,
and visit nearby Yosemite National Park. The area managers live and work here with one other
couple to care for this facility. The area managers care for three local day use areas. Water and sewer
hookups are available. The area managers are salaried. Camp manager hours are 20 hours per week per couple
during the regular season and 30 hours per week per couple during the peak season. This campground is open
from the end of April to the middle of October. |

Cherry Valley Campground is located 32 miles from
Toulumne City at an elevation of 4700 feet. Set among cedar and pine next to a small stream, this
beautiful campground has 40 single and 6 double sites. The camp manager also hauls garbage out of the
campground 2 to 3 times a week. Campers come here to boat and fish on Cherry Lake, 2 miles away. They
also come to hike, hunt, and view the diverse local wildlife. Water hookups are available. Hours are
30 hours per week per couple during the regular season and 40 hours per week per couple during the peak
season. The campground is open from the end of April to the beginning of September. |

Sweetwater Campground is located 15 miles from Groveland
at an altitude of 3000 feet. Set in a meadow among pine and oak, this campground has 13 sites. The
manager at this facility also cares for two other small campgrounds, traveling approximately 24 miles a day.
Mileage is paid for this travel. Campers come here to hunt, hike, enjoy the diverse local wildlife, and
visit Yosemite National Park, 15 miles away. Water and sewer hookups are available. Hours are 35 hours
per week per couple during the regular season and 40 hours per week per couple during the peak season.
This campground is open from the end of April to the middle of October. |
