Stanislaus National Forest
Groveland Ranger District
Located near Yosemite, in the Sierra Nevada, is the Groveland Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest. It encompasses the Highway 120 corridor with campgrounds along the Tuolumne River. People come here for the wildlife viewing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, fishing and access to Yosemite National Park.
Dimond "O" Campground
The Dimond O Campground is located on a mixed conifer forested site adjacent to the Middle Fork of the Tuolumne River. It is the closest campground to the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite National Park and Hetch Hetchy Reservoir.
Sweetwater Campground
Sweetwater Campground is located on a mixed conifer forested site adjacent to Highway 120. Vault toilets and potable water is available in the campground.
Cherry Valley Campground
Cherry Valley Campground is located in a mixed conifer forested site near Cherry Lake. Several campsites, as well as restrooms and water faucets, are wheelchair accessible.
Pines Campground
Pines is a small campground with just 9 campsites and 1 group campsite which can hold up to 50 people. You may reserve the group site up to a year in advance of your arrival. The other 9 sites are first-come-first-served.
Lost Claim Campground
Lost Claim Campground is a rustic campground located on a mixed conifer forested site adjacent to Highway 120. Vault toilets and potable water is available in the campground.
