PG&E - Shasta Watershed
Pit River, Hat Creek, Battle Creek Area
PG&E manages campgrounds on or near reservoirs used for hydro-electric production. Campgrounds are open to the public for a fee. American Land & Leisure operates these campgrounds under a special use permit. This recreational area contains Lake Britton to the north, McArthur Swamp to the east, Lakes Nora and Grace to the south and Iron Canyon Reservoir to the west.
Cassel Campground
Cassel Campground is just 15 minutes from Burney, CA on the beautiful Hat Creek.
Fall River Lake Day Use
Fall River Lake is at 3300' elevation. You'll find a group picnic area, boating, boat ramp and water skiing on Fall River Lake.
Jamo Point Boat Launch
Jamo Point provides access to the beautiful Lake Britton. The boat launch is on the north shore of Lake Britton just up the road from Dusty Campground. There is a fee to launch.
Dusty Campground
Dusty Campground is on the north shore of Lake Britton; about in the middle of the lake. Campsites accommodate trailers up to 35 feet in length. Some group camping sites are available. The campground has vault toilets and potable water. A boat launch is nearby. Lake Britton is popular for fishing, swimming and waterskiing.
Hawkins Landing Campground
Hawkins Landing is a remote campground about 35 miles west of Burney, California. Campers enjoy fishing, swimming and boating. There is a boat launch in the campground. Elevation is about 2700'.
Northshore Campground
Northshore Campground accommodates trailers up to 45 in length. 29 campsites are nestled in the forest on the north shore of Lake Britton.
Macumber Campground
This small campground has 13 campsites, including 5 walk-in sites, fishing and a car-top boat launch. Use electric motors only on this beautiful little lake at 4000' elevation.
North Battle Creek Campground
At 5600' elevation this small campground provides 15 campsites, 5 of which are walk-in. People come here to fish, swim and boat (electric motors only). There is a boat launch for car-top boats.
Lake Grace Day Use
Just a couple miles southeast of Shingletown, California, is a beautiful little picnic area on Grace Lake. 10 picnic tables are available for families to enjoy fishing for bullhead, brown trout, bowfin, bull trout and brook trout here.
Lake Nora Day Use
Lake Nora is a popular area for trout fishing. 10 tables are available for picnickers. Bring your fishing poles and picnic basket to enjoy the natural beauty in the shadow of Lassen Peak.
Kilarc Day Use
8 picnic tables are available for families on Kilarc Reservoir. The fishing is great in this 4 acre lake stocked with rainbow trout.
