/Olallie Campground
Willamette National Forest \ McKenzie River Ranger District
Another Olallie Campground is located near Mt Hood, close to Portland, but this one is east of Eugene, Oregon. We are located in the midsection of the Cascades mountain range along the McKenzie River. When making reservations, be sure you get the one you want. All campsites may be reserved at least 4 days prior to your arrival. This link will take you there directly: Recreation.gov \ Olallie
The campground has 16 campsites which are all nicely shaded by Douglas fir, maple and alder. Olallie is divided into two loops along the eastern banks of the McKenzie River by Olallie Creek. The campground has drinking water, vault toilets and garbage containers and each site has a picnic table and fire ring. No electric hookups are available. The campground is generally open from mid-April through mid-October.
Fishing, rafting and swimming are three top activities in the river. Hikers enjoy the nearby McKenzie Pass Trail Area with incredible trails around lakes, overlooking cliffs, and trailing along craters and valleys. Among these trails is the high elevation Obsidian Trail which accesses the Pacific Crest Trail and the Obsidian Area of the Three Sisters Wilderness.
