The Bolar Mountain Recreation Area marina and boat launch on Lake Moomaw, Virginia, closed last November due to a fuel leak. The boat launch is now open but fuel will no longer be available. The Forest Service removed the underground fuel tank to avoid any future occurrences. Repairs are being made to the dock and should be reopened for use soon.
The Fortney Branch boat launch is also open.
