Birding in Salt Springs Recreation Area near Little Kerr Lake, Florida
/Fall is great for birding opportunities in the Salt Springs Recreation Area.
Some of our fine-feathered friends call this home year-round and others are just passing through. Are we still talking about wildlife? hahaha
Come out for a day trip or camp with us for longer. Salt Springs has tent sites and FHU RV sites open year-round. Hike on the Bear Swamp Trail or swim, snorkle, canoe or kayak with the manatees. Some sites are available for first-come-first-served campers and others are reservable at least 4 days in advance of your arrival. Check Recreation.gov for rates.
