Winter changes for Salt Springs Campground, Florida
/We've heard your concerns and have made the following changes to wintertime camping in Salt Springs Recreation Area. Hopefully these changes will allow locals to have the desired access to what WAS your best kept secret.
The winter season is from Oct 15 through April 14. Full hookup (FHU) sites are especially in demand for a longer length of time. Here are the new stay limits and which sites are reservable during the winter season in Salt Springs:
FHU sites: 6 month stay limit: 1-31, 39-54, 55-63, 91-104; sites 12-31 are reservable
Other FHU sites still have a 14 day stay limit.
Primitive tent-only sites: Always 14 day stay limit; 112-140, 145-148 are reservable year-round
