Hope is a primitive campground in the foothills above Orem, Utah, at 6500 feet elevation. The nearby Squaw Peak Overlook provides spectacular views of Utah Valley; including Utah Lake and surrounding mountains.
Campers enjoy many hiking and biking trails in the area. The Rock Canyon Trail and Squaw Peak Trail both begin nearby. Squaw Peak Road is also open to mountain biking.
Hope Campground is about 5 miles from Provo Canyon Road on Squaw Peak Road. Campsites have a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilet restrooms, garbage dumpsters and drinking water are provided for your camping comfort. Hope has only 3 campsites for first-come-first-served campers throughout the summer season. All sites, however, are first-come-first-served after Labor Day. The campground is generally open from mid-May through mid-October.
