Yellowjacket is set in a Cedar and Ponderosa pine forest on Union Valley Reservoir. A boat ramp provides access to the lake and a section of the Union Valley Bike Trail leads to Wolf Creek Campground for .8 mile.
Yellowjacket Campground has 40 campsites; each with picnic table and fire ring. The campground is generally open from late May through Labor Day. Drinking water, flush and vault toilets, boat ramp and dump station are provided in the campground. Campsites can accommodate tents or RV's but there are no RV hookups. About half the sites are for first-come-first-served campers. Reservations may be made for the other campsites at least 4 days in advance of your arrival. Union Valley Reservoir is popular for skiing, sailing and fishing. Fish for rainbow, brown and mackinaw trout as well as Kokanee salmon.
