The Spring Mountains Recreation Area is a beautiful island in the desert.  More than 100 springs dot the area to create an ideal escape from the heat of Las Vegas.  Hilltop Campground provides sweeping views of the Mojave Desert below and the Spring Mountains above.  Limited shade is provided by juniper, mountain mahogany and Ponderosa pine.

Hilltop Campground is generally open from early April through mid-October.  Follow the links for year-round camping and snow-play in the area.  Hilltop has 35 developed campsites and over half may be reserved at last 4 days ahead of your arrival.  Weekends are busy so get your reservations now on Recreation.gov \ Hilltop Campground

More than 60 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails crisscross the area; two trails allow mountain biking.
