Sand Flat Campground

Sand Flat Campground is nestled in the forested foothills northeast of Sonora, California, just off Hwy 108.  All 68 campsites are for first-come-first-served camping.  No reservations are taken for Sand Flat.  The campground is within the Clark Fork Recreation Area and is popular for fishing and hunting.  Sand Flat is generally open from mid-May through mid-October.

Campers enjoy fishing for wild brown and rainbow trout and access to great deer hunting in season.  Campsites have a picnic table and fire ring.  Vault toilets, drinking water and garbage disposal is provided.  An RV dump station can be found at the Clark Fork Campground entrance.
