Camp Conery is a great place for the family to gather. 5 bunk houses provide beds and cabinets for sleeping and changing. The A-frame has flush restrooms with showers and a large kitchen/dining area with 2 refrigerators, stove/oven and lots of counter space for spreading out the pot lucks. Don't forget the S'mores for the group fire ring and sports equipment for the ball field.
Just across Hwy 89 is a free Picnic area on the beach of Lake Almanor. A boat launch is about a half-mile from the campground. The lake lies in the shadow of Mt Lassen and Lassen National Park is an easy day trip from the campground.
The quaint town of Canyon Dam is within a couple miles. You'll find a small market with fishing supplies and basic groceries.
