Camp and fish on the Pere Marquette National Scenic River.  Gleason's Landing is a small, quiet, campground in a mix of white pine and oak forest near Baldwin, MI.  Trails along the river provide access for anglers and short nature walks.  Gleason's Landing marks the start of a zone for fly fishing and catch and release only.  Reel fishing is available upstream.  Fish for resident brown trout, steelhead and salmon in the Pere Marquette River.

Campers use a common parking lot then walk to their campsite.  There is another parking lot for landing a boat from the river.  Vault toilets and hand pump drinking water is available in the campground.  You may reserve the group campsites up to 1 year in advance of your arrival and single family sites may be reserved up to 6 months in advance from www.recreation.gov.

Campgrounds generally open the 2nd week in May and close in mid-September.  The following campgrounds stay open later in the season closing on Oct 11, 2015:  Gleason's Landing, Bowman Bridge, Pines Point and Lake Michigan
