East Park Reservoir is a local favorite for fishing and camping about 32 miles north of Vernal, UT. At 9000' elevation, the 132 acre lake is surrounded by lodgepole pine and wet meadows. Fishing for rainbow trout from shore, canoe or a float tube are productive. A trailhead at the north end of the lake leads east to US 191, and the trailhead at the south end leads west to Oaks Park Lake.
Anglers and visitors at the reservoir have a good chance of seeing elk, deer, small mammals and birds. The area is also a fantastic waterfowl hunting area.
The campground has 21 campsites on the shore of the reservoir. One host couple lives in and cares for the grounds and vault restrooms. The host site provides drinking water. No other utilities are available. Maximum RV length is limited to 25 ft.

Directions: From Highway 191 north of Vernal (mile marker 372.5) turn left onto the Red Cloud Loop. Follow this road for 9 miles until the pavement ends, and turn right onto the gravel East Park Road.
East Park is about an hour's drive from the beautiful Flaming Gorge Reservoir. East Park and Lodgepole are the closest to Vernal out of all our campgrounds in the Flaming Gorge Ranger District. Dinosaur National Monument is approximately 20 minutes east of Vernal, UT.
