Morris Hill is a family campground that sits on a ridge above Lake Moomaw.   The campground has a playground and Cole's Point swimming beach is nearby.  Display your camping receipt or car pass on your dashboard at Cole's Point so you do not have to pay for parking during your stay.

Lake Moomaw, which flows from the Jackson River, is a cold-water 2,530-acre lake with an inviting swimming beach.  Morris Hill Campground has 57 campsites including 2 group sites that can accommodate 25 people each.  Larger RV's will fit in most campsites. Campground amenities include flush toilets, warm showers, a playground and drinking water. Group Sites: There is no water or electricity. Two fully accessible vault toilets, picnic tables and a group grill are on each group site. Cole's Point Boat Ramp is less than two miles away and is the closest to Morris Hill.

Morris Hill Campground is generally open from May 1st through mid-September.  Over half the campsites may be reserved at least 2 days, and up to 6 months, in advance of your arrival.  Group sites may be reserved up to 1 year in advance.  Check rates and availability here:  Recreation.gov \ Morris Hill
