Positioned to enjoy stunning sunsets over Union Valley Reservoir this campground has many sites on the shoreline. Sunset is generally open from mid-May through mid-October. About half the sites are for first-come-first-served campers. Others may be reserved at least 4 days before your arrival. Check rates and availability and make your reservations on Recreation.gov\ Sunset.
131 campsites range from fully shaded to full sun in this forested area at 5,000 feet elevation. A boat ramp with an accessible boarding dock is onsite as well as a paved parking area, dump station, vault toilets, garbage dumpsters, drinking water and a swimming beach.
Sailing, boating and swimming are very popular. Hikers and bikers enjoy exploring the Union Valley Bike Trail and Bassi Falls Hiking Trail. The bike trail connects with the campground, near the boat ramp, and stretches for 4.8 miles along the eastern shores of the lake.
Fishing in the lake includes rainbow, brown, mackinaw trout and kokanee salmon.
