Happy National Volunteer Week!

Thanks to the Las Vegas Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) group of volunteers who gave us a boost in Fletcher View Campground and Cathedral Rock Day Use Area last weekend.  The place looks beautiful but what we'll remember most is how great you made us feel!

WBCCI representatives called ahead to ask how they could help.  AL&L Area Managers put together a wish list.  The Airstream club pulled into the campground on Friday afternoon and immediately began picking up winter trash.  They didn't even wait to see the list!  Their smiles and energy were contagious as they plowed through Fletcher View and Cathedral Rock, on Saturday, with their work gloves and enthusiasm.  They had so much fun they said they'd be back next year!  We'll be excited to have them again.

Parenting tip:  Show your children how to do something nice for someone.  Doing a free service builds self-esteem.  It makes them realize that they have something to give that makes people happy.  Take note of the difference in their attitude before and after volunteering their time for a neighbor or organization.    Before: whining;  After: joy, laughter
