You'll find Ice Cap Campground between Carmen Reservoir and Koosah Falls on the scenic McKenzie River. Just 17 miles from McKenzie Bridge, Oregon, Ice Cap is very popular for hiking and fishing. The campground is set on a bluff overlooking the McKenzie River where water flows from Koosah and Sahalie Falls. The trail to the falls is a 3-mile loop.
The campground has 22 campsites; 9 are walk-in sites for tents only. The others can accommodate either tents or RVs. There is no drinking water in the campground but there are 2 flush restrooms and garbage containers and each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The campground is generally open from mid-May through mid-September. About half the campsites are first-come-first-served, others may be reserved up at least 4 days in advance of your arrival.
