The Pines Campground is a comfortable little campground conveniently located just 15 miles from the Yosemite National Park boundary in northern California.  The Pines also makes a great base camp for exploring several wilderness areas nearby:  Carson-Iceberg, Emigrant and Mokelumne Wildernesses.

A short drive takes visitors to the Tuolumne River for wading and fishing.  Campers enjoy hiking the Little Golden Forest Trail, a half-mile interpretive loop with the option for a longer two-mile loop.  The Pines is generally open from early May through early October.  The campground has 9 first-come-first-served campsites and a large 50-person campsite for tents only.  Follow the link to check camping rates, directions and make reservations for you group up to a year in advance of your arrival:  Recreation.gov \ The Pines Campground
