Escape from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and cool off in this beautiful mountain area. Mountain Oak Campground sits at 6200' elevation near Wrightwood, CA, and Mountain High Ski Resort.

Mountain Oak opens in early May and closes the first weekend in November. 17 campsites provide campers with picnic tables, fire rings and flush toilets. Piped drinking water is available during the summer months. Tent campers and small RVs up to 18' in length enjoy this beautiful wooded area near Jackson Lake.

Hikers can buy the California Adventure Pass to cover day use and trailhead parking in the area. Senior and disabled campers may buy the America the Beautiful pass from the Forest Service to get a 50% discount on com
