The campground is a short distance from the scenic Smith & Morehouse Reservoir in northeastern Utah; near Oakley, UT. Smith-Morehouse Campground is generally open from the 3rd Friday in May through late October. Most campsites are ADA compliant and about a third of the 34 campsites are for first-come-first-served campers. There is a boat launch at Smith & Morehouse Reservoir and there is limited overflow camping there. Campers enjoy fishing, canoeing and exploring the Smith & Morehouse Trail. Motorized boats are allowed on the lake but wakeless speeds are enforced. The 12-mile round-trip Smith & Morehouse Trail begins at nearby Ledgefork Campground. It is a great trail for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding or snowmobiling.
