Campers enjoy this area for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing in the creek. Common fish species include brown and rainbow trout.  An accessible fishing dock is located on-site.  The Harvest Trail is fully accessible and provides scenic views and interesting displays.

Gerle Creek Campground is west of Loon Lake at an elevation of 5,300 feet.  It is generally open from the 3rd week in May through early October.  Over half of the 50 family campsites may be reserved at least 4 days in advance of your arrival at Recreation.gov.  First-come-first-served campers are welcome.  Each campsite has a table and fire ring.  Many sites are accessible.  Drinking water, vault toilets and garbage containers are provided on-site.
